Seilø on Papper is one of my favorite places in the Hvaler archipelago. On this calm January afternoon, fresh snow covered the small harbor while soft winter clouds drifted across the sky.
Reaching the shoreline after fresh snowfall can be a little challenging. Hidden cracks and sloping rock surfaces lie beneath the snow, making every step uncertain.
With the tripod carefully testing the ground ahead and the camera safely packed away, I slowly made my way toward the edge. When the harbor finally opened up in front of me — quiet, windless, and glowing with soft winter light — I knew the careful walk had been worth it.
