At 04:20 on a quiet winter morning in the Old Town of Fredrikstad, fresh snow covered the ground without a single footprint. The old tree by the ferry landing stretched its branches over the Glomma River, with the Fredrikstad Bridge glowing softly in the distance.

Everything was perfect — calm air, a clear sky, and the stillness that only exists before the city wakes up.

Just as I pressed the shutter, a security car drove along the quay below, leaving a lone track in the pristine snow. Typical timing… but perhaps also a small reminder that even the quietest moments never stay untouched for long.
