The diving tower at Foten beach in Onsøy, just outside Fredrikstad, stands quietly against the winter sunset. In February the sun still sets directly into the sea in the west, filling the sky with soft colors.
At this time of year the beach is almost empty, and I had the tower completely to myself.
A place usually filled with summer laughter and splashing water becomes calm and silent, waiting patiently for warmer days to return.
